Dental

Dental coverage for preventive care, basic and major services, and orthodontia.

You’re eligible to enroll in dental coverage if you’re a full-time employee, or a part-time employee working at least 30 hours per week.

You have two plans to choose from through Delta Dental:

  • Basic Dental — dental only
  • Enhanced Plan — dental plus orthodontia

Understanding your dental plan options

This page reflects in-network coverage only. For out-of-network details, see the plan documents. [LINK]

How the plans differ

  • The Basic Dental Plan has lower monthly premiums, higher deductibles, a lower annual benefit maximum, and doesn’t cover orthodontia.
  • The Enhanced Plan has higher monthly premiums, lower deductibles, a higher annual benefit maximum, and includes coverage for orthodontia.

What you will pay for care (in-network)

The deductible is the amount you pay before the plan starts to pay. The annual benefit maximum is the most the plan will pay for covered expenses each plan year. These reset annually on January 1.

  • Preventive services from in-network providers are generally covered at no cost. You pay a small deductible and coinsurance for basic and major services.
  • You will pay the least with a Delta Dental PPO network dentist. Premier network dentists cost a bit more but still cap what you pay.
  • Out-of-network dentists have no agreement with Delta Dental, so you will usually pay the most and owe the difference between their fee and what the plan allows.

Cost for coverage

You pay monthly premiums for vision coverage through payroll deductions. The amount you pay in premiums depends on which plans you choose and who you cover.
