Financial protection for your pets if they’re sick or injured
All active, permanent employees are eligible to enroll in Nationwide pet insurance (My Pet Protection).
Discounts are available for multiple pets, and coverage is available for dogs, cats, and exotic pets including reptiles, birds, and rabbits.
Coverage options
The deductible is the amount you pay before the plan starts to pay. The annual maximum is the most the plan will pay for covered expenses each plan year. These reset annually on January 1.
My Pet Protection Choice offers coverage/reimbursement for a number of conditions including:
Accidents—injuries such as being hit by a car, broken bones, lacerations, animal attacks, foreign body ingestion, heatstroke, poisoning, insect or snake bites
Illness—examples include vomiting, diarrhea, allergies, ear infections, bladder infections, arthritis, skin infections, heart disease, cancer
Hereditary & congential coverage—for conditions such as hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, cherry eye, umbilical hernia, brachycephalic syndrome and more
Optional wellness coverage—annual exam, vaccinations, heartworm or flea control, microchipping, fecal testing

You can enroll in pet insurance any time during the year, not just annual enrollment.
